Suite San Ildelfonso
Inspired by our beautiful Yucatecan Cathedral built by King Felipe II in 1561 and dedicated to San Ildefonso. It is the seat of the Archdioceses of Yucatan and was the first Cathedral built in mainland America and also the oldest in Mexico.
It is said that the original draft of this cathedral was confused with the one of Lima, Peru and the buildings where inverted, although both are spectacular. Inside it you can see the figure of a crucified Christ that was carved by the Spanish artist Ramon Lapayese.
There are countless events that our cathedral has seen over the years and many famous people who have visited, including His Holiness Pope John Paul II. It also has been stripped from some part of its building and the rich ornamentation that someday owned.
The suite has:
King size bed, plasma TV, telephone, wireless internet, alarm clock with iPod dock, minibar, safe deposit box, air conditioning, bath robe, slippers, exclusive bath amenities, hair dryer and umbrella.
